El Lissitzky
This hand stitched and hand illustrated book talks about the artists life and his influence in the world of design. Through this project, I wanted to pay tribute to his legacy while also exploring my own creative expression. Each element of the book, from the layout to the illustrations, is carefully crafted to reflect Lissitzky's principles while infusing my own interpretation.
El Lissitzky was an avant-garde Russian artist and major figure in both Suprematism and Constructivism. Lissitzky’s politically fueled poster designs, photographs, and paintings melded formal abstraction with typography, as seen in his Proun series.
